LAPROPOINT EARNS Coveted Company Joins Small Group of Businesses Licensed to Perform Fabrication Work to Stringent City of LA Standards
(Sun Valley, Calif.) June, 2007 – LA ProPoint, Southern California’s leader in the design, engineering, fabrication and installation of stage and show systems, announced today that the company has secured a coveted Los Angeles City Fabricator License. The license, which has been awarded to only a small number of fabricators that serve the entertainment industry, certifies that LA ProPoint meets a very high standard of quality control as set by the city of Los Angeles. “The city of Los Angeles has some of the most stringent welding requirements in the United States. In fact, most metropolitan areas model their codes after LA’s criteria because of the extensive seismic requirements,” explained Mark Riddlesperger, founder and president of LA ProPoint. “A Los Angeles City Fabricator License means that LA ProPoint is licensed to perform high-end fabrication work throughout the city of Los Angeles and surrounding areas. In terms of the ability to pursue new business opportunities, this is certainly a coup for us.” LA ProPoint now has the ability to certify its own welders and inspect its own fabrication work. “Being able to say that we have the Los Angeles City Fabricator License, it gives us an additional stamp of credibility,” said Charles Hernandez, LA ProPoint’s shop foreman and a welder certified by both Los Angeles and the American Welding Society. “We are entrusted with training a new generation of craftspeople to meet state-of-the-art standards and producing the highest-quality fabrication work for our clients.” About LA ProPoint Since 2002, LA ProPoint has been a leading provider of design, engineering, fabrication and installation of stage and show systems for all aspects of the entertainment industry, from concert halls and theme parks to outdoor ampitheatres and movie sets. Strategically headquartered in Southern California in the city of Sun Valley, the company has a huge reach. Its highly skilled, experienced technicians, fabricators and craftspeople regularly take on far-flung projects from the Hollywood Bowl and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas.
